Edifier R1280DB key specifications
About the Edifier R1280DB
The Edifier R1280DB sits in the Speakers & Soundbars category as a 2.0 bookshelf system. It connects via Bluetooth, optical cable, RCA or directly via a 3.5 mm jack, letting you feed game audio from a PC, console or mobile device without extra adapters.
Sound is balanced with clear mids and enough bass for most shooters and RPGs, while the wooden-faced cabinets keep distortion low at moderate volumes, and the remote control adds quick access to volume and source selection and simple setup.
Design
The pair measures about 6.5 inches tall and 5 inches wide, with a matte black front and a wooden veneer panel on each driver. The enclosure is sealed, and the speakers sit on stable metal stands that tilt slightly outward for better imaging.
Where it fits
- Desktop gaming rigs where space is limited but decent stereo sound is desired.
- Console setups that need a wireless audio link without a dedicated sound card.
- Co-op or narrative-driven games where balanced mids and clear dialogue matter.
Before you buy
Confirm the listed model includes the Bluetooth module and verify the dimensions fit your desk or shelf. Check that the supplied cables match the inputs you plan to use.
If you need surround sound or deep bass for immersive simulations, a 2.1 or 5.1 system would serve you better.
