About the MSI Claw 8 AI+
The MSI Claw 8 AI+ is a handheld gaming PC that packages a Windows computer into a portable case with its own screen, controls and battery. It targets gamers who want to take their PC library on the couch, in a train, or anywhere without a dock. Because it runs full Windows software, the Claw 8 AI+ can launch any game that a desktop PC supports, assuming the hardware can handle it. The integrated controls and display let you play without external peripherals, making it a self-contained solution for on-the-go gaming.
Design
The Claw 8 AI+ follows MSI’s handheld silhouette, featuring a built-in LCD screen, button layout and thumbsticks on either side, and a rechargeable battery pack. The chassis feels solid, with a matte finish that reduces glare and helps keep the device comfortable during extended sessions.
Where it fits
- Playing PC titles while traveling on trains or planes
- Couch gaming without needing a TV or external monitor
- Quick multiplayer sessions with friends using built-in Wi-Fi
- Testing indie games on a portable Windows device
Before you buy
Check the listed screen size, storage type and RAM configuration to ensure they meet your game library’s demands, and verify that the model includes the AI+ software features you expect.
If you need the highest possible graphics performance for the latest AAA titles, a full-size gaming laptop or desktop will deliver more power. Also, if you prioritize ultra-long battery life over portability, consider a dedicated console.
