MSI Claw 8 EX AI+

About the MSI Claw 8 EX AI+

The MSI Claw 8 EX AI+ is a Windows-based handheld that lets you run PC titles without a desktop. It fits into the Gaming Handhelds segment, targeting gamers who prefer a single device over a docked console.

Because it runs standard PC software, you can install the games you already own and use familiar control settings. The device’s size keeps it portable, but the trade-off is typically overall generally shorter battery life and less raw power than a full tower.

Design

The Claw 8 EX AI+ follows MSI’s typical design language with a matte chassis and angular edges. It houses the controls—thumbsticks, buttons, and triggers—on a compact layout that mirrors a traditional console controller. The build feels solid for a portable device, though the weight may be noticeable during long sessions.

Where it fits

• Play PC games while traveling
• Use as a secondary screen when docked to a TV or monitor
• Enjoy casual multiplayer sessions on the couch

Before you buy

Check the specific configuration listed on the retailer’s page, including CPU model, RAM amount, and storage type, as these can vary between versions.

If you need top-tier graphics performance or extended battery life for marathon sessions, a larger laptop or desktop will serve you better.
